Frances G. Yackee

Frances G. Yackee, 89 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Frances was born on July 2, 1928 in Barberton, Ohio the daughter of Lowell G. and Sara Mae (Bell) Street, Sr. Frances worked for A. A. Hammersmith Insurance Co. and retired in 1998. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Frances enjoyed painting, collecting Elephant Figurines, reading, and collecting literature. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Yackee, brothers, Lowell G. Street Jr. and Marion Street and her daughter-in-law, Connie A. Yackee. She is survived by her sons Lt. Commander James (Barbara) Yackee of Jacksonville, FL and Mark R. Yackee; 3 grandchildren; and her sister, Janice Johnson of Barberton. A Celebration of Frances’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. before the service.
