Frances "Franci" P. Williams

Frances “Franci” (Preston) Williams Franci passed away peacefully with family members by her side on March 24, 2020 at the age of 70. Franci was born October 7, 1949 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Jack and Darlene Preston. Franci moved with her family to Canton, Ohio in 1955 and graduated from Perry High School in 1967. While at Ohio State studying nursing Franci met the love of her life, Bob Williams, and they married in 1969. Following stays in Columbus, Wilmington, and Dayton, Ohio, they moved to Massillon, Ohio in 1977 where they have lived ever since. Franci earned a B.S. in Nursing and was a nurse at Aultman Hospital for 33 years. Franci had twin sons, Biff and Chris, and a daughter, Carrie, and loved to spoil her 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. Family. Vacations. Singing. Nursing. Roses. Parties. God. Franci loved all of those things. Over the years, Franci took her family on many fun vacations and used any excuse possible to throw a party for family and friends. She loved taking care of others, whether her patients at Aultman or her family. Her children and grandchildren would always call Nurse Nana with any health situations. She loved tending her gardens, especially her roses. She loved God, her First United Methodist Church of Massillon family, and singing in the Church Choir. She was a bedrock of faith in her family even through the difficult times with her health and she knew she would meet her Savior. Franci is survived by her Husband, Robert Williams; Sons, Bifford (Gretchen) Williams and Christopher (Nancy) Williams; Daughter, Carrie (Jim) Lang; her Mother, Darlene Preston; Sister, Cathy (Pete) Schaeffer; Grandchildren Jaret, Kami, Toby, Ryan, Emma, Jack, and Charlie; Nephew Steve (Amanda); Niece Jacki, and many family and friends. Franci was pre-deceased by her beloved father, Jack Preston. The service for immediate family will be held on March 27, 2020 at 1p.m. The service will be livestreamed on Facebook Live Streaming . A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
