Florence Mantsch

October 10, 1914 — February 3, 2006

Florence Mantsch, age 91, of Massillon passed away Friday morning. She was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on October 10th, 1914 to the late Daniel & Mildred (Trbovich) Petrovich. After she graduated from WHS she went to work for Enterprise Aluminum. While working for Enterprise she was set up on a blind date with her future husband, William J. Mantsch. Flo & Bill got married on October 20, 1934 in Massillon. She later earned her LPN and began working for the Massillon State Hospital. Flo retired from the State Hospital after 25 yrs. of loyal service. She was a member of Canal Fulton Chapter 180 order of Eastern Star, The Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem McKinley Shrine 54, Order of the Amaranth Emerald Court 33, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America Kheedawee Court 6, and the Faith Community Fellowship Forever Young Sunday School Class & Mary Alta Class. Flo loved to crochet & quilt. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters, Sophie Caples, Ada Anzelmo, Mary Suarez, Daisy Kolich, Dolly Dorosky, and Amelia Bonillo. 2 Brothers, Fred Petrovich, and Nick Petrovich. Survived by 2 Daughter Leilani & Tom Weisgarber of Massillon Elaine & Robert Keller of Massillon 1 sister Martha DeCapite of Warren 2 nieces Tuffy Grunder of Massillon Mary Ann Clemens of Navarre 7 grandchildren Sherry, Tom Jr., and Bill Weisgarber Heather Jones, Tiffany Cocklin Shannon & Tana Keller 4 great grandchildren Chris, Matt, Deana, Jessica, Rachal, & Tyler Weisgarber. & Hannah Jones. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. The Order of the Amaranth Emerald Court will have a service 15 min. before the calling hours. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
