Florence M. Snyder

"Absent from the body, present with the Lord" Florence Marie Smith Snyder, 89, of Massillon, Ohio was born February 11, 1926, in Massillon and entered into eternal rest April 12, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Edward Snyder. She is survived by her children John (Anne) Snyder, Nancy (Keith) Freeman, Dana (Shannon) Snyder, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Florence was a Bible believing Christian and a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple, working in many ministries including several mission trips. She loved music and sang in several vocal groups. She was employed as a civilian Resident Inspector of Naval Material in Canton, and then the Veteran's Administration in Canton and San Diego, California. She retired from the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. A service to celebrate the life of Florence Snyder will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Massillon Baptist Temple with her pastor, Cecil Thayer officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday, one hour before the service at the church.
