Fern L. Kenney

Fern L. Kenney age 80 of Navarre passed away Tuesday January 19, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center. Fern was born December 19, 1929 in Navarre to the late Mahlon & Pearl (Whitmer) Lint and was a life resident. She was a member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church and Navarre VFW Auxiliary #5047. Fern was one to help at church in the kitchen, Bible school and luncheons. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and doted on them. Her leisure time was spent with cross-stitch, embroidery and puzzle books. Fern was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years Robert M. Kenney in 1980; a grandson Robert Sprankle in 1990; and eight sisters and brothers; Elsie Smith, Mabel Smith, Stella Kraus, Calvin Lint, Gilbert Lint, Arvine Lint, Ernest Lint, Earl Lint. Fern has four children: Barbara Kenney, Karen (Terry) Sprankle, Mary (George) Baumgardner and Michael Kenney; three grandchildren, Christopher Baumgardner, Savannah Sprankle and Jennifer Sprankle; one sister Jeannie Ormston and four brothers; Wilbert Lint, Walter Lint, Raymond Lint and Donald Lint. Services will be on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church in Navarre. Burial will be at Union Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-7 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials to the church building fund would be greatly appreciated.
