Evelyn Colonero Rizos went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2006 with her family by her side. Evelyn was born in Martins Ferry, OH on January 4, 1926 to George & Konstantina Colonero both pre-deceased. Her sister Sophia Gramatikos passed away in 1998. She married Gust Rizos in Martins Ferry and relocated to Massillon, OH. Together they owned and operated the former Rizos Famous Steakhouse which was a Massillon landmark for over 50 years. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, yiayia, and friend. She loved without expectation and was forever dedicated to her loved ones happiness. Evelyn is more than a memory, she is a living presence. We will carry on and remember her for all the love and support, strength and courage she gave to us. She will remain in our hearts forever. To cherish her memory are her family: Her loving husband of 58 years, Gust Rizos, her children: Gary and Constance (Rizos) Guist of North Canton, OH: Nicholas Rizos of Las Vegas, NV; and Gerald and Georgiann (Rizos) Cruzat of Orange, CA. She held a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She was a dear yiayia to Michael Rashid of North Canton, Robert and Nicole (Rashid) Kreuzer of Westerville, OH, Jarrod, Jenna and Jessica Cruzat of Orange, CA and her great grandchildren, Alexa Constance and Nikolas Kreuzer of Westerville. She leaves her nephews, George, Jimmy and Emmanuel Gramatikos of Florida, sister and brother in laws and their families, Robert and Irene Brown of Naples, FL, William and Bessie Brown of North Canton, Mrs. Amelia Rizos of Haverhill, MA, and her dear friend Olga Pachis of Massillon. Memorial donations may be made to the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 356 First St. S. E. Massillon or to the Greek Orthodox Church of Martins Ferry, 314 N. 5th St., Martins Ferry, OH. Paquelet Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no calling hours. Private family services will take place at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Massillon and interment at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon. Living Bouquets When I quit this mortal shore, and mosey round the earth no more, don't sob; I may have struck a better job. Don't go and buy a large bouquet for which you'll find it hard to pay; don't mope around and feel all blue- I may be better off than you. Don't tell the folks I was a saint, or any old thing that I ain't; if you have jam like that to spread, please hand it out before I am dead. If you have roses, bless your soul, just pin one in my button-hole while I'm alive and well- today. Don't wait until I've gone away. THE INFORMER, September, 1938
