Evelyn 'Pete' B. Sprunk

Evelyn “Pete” B. Sprunk age 75 of Massillon, passed away Friday at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on July 17, 1933 in Massillon to the late Roy E. and Dorothy H. (Brown) McElhaney. Pete had worked for ten years at Crown Fiberglass as a laborer. She was a member of New Harmony Christian Church in Massillon. Pete enjoyed crocheting blankets for her grandchildren and flower gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer R. Sprunk in 1994; daughter, Norma Jean in 1965; sisters, Helen Shue and Beverly Henry. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Larry (Jennie) Sprunk and Bo (Sherri) Sprunk both of Massillon; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Fahrni and Nora (John) LeBeau both of Massillon and Dorothy (George) Evey of Navarre; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy (Janice) McElhaney of North Carolina, Ronnie (Elaine) McElhaney and Donnie (Karen) McElhaney both of Massillon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis (Dale) Ross of Strasburg, Nancy Yost of Millersburg and Debbie (Larry) McNeal of Massillon; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral services celebrating Evelyn’s life will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6:00 – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday. Interment will follow the services at Oakwood Cemetery in Massillon.
