Evelyn Marie Palmer

Evelyn Marie Palmer, 84, of Massillon, died October 29, 2021. She passed away suddenly at her home. Evelyn lived in Massillon her entire life, graduating from Massillon Washinton High School in 1955. She was an active member of Myers United Church of Christ in Massillon. She worked a number of jobs including Woolworth, Massillon Surplus, and Tuslaw Schools, but her life’s work was building and nurturing her family. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Robert Palmer; her parents, Maurice and Helen Hoffman; her brothers, Clarence and Delbert Hoffman; and her sister, Mary Speicher. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Bob and Flo Palmer and John and Bonnie Palmer; her granddaughters and their husbands, Vicki and Geoffrey Lea and Natalie and Matt Russ; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, November 3, at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Additional calling hours will begin at 10am on Thursday, November 4, with the funeral to follow at 11am. The burial will take place at Rosehill Memorial Gardens.
