Evelyn M. Jeffries

Evelyn M. Jeffries age 78 of Massillon went home to be with the Lord Sunday October 28, 2007. Evelyn was born November 14, 1928 in Keith, WV to the late Jesse & Ethel (Burns) Mason and was raised in Orgas, WV. In 1955 she married the late Gomer Jeffries (1994) and moved to Massillon. Evelyn was a homemaker and loved working in her flower beds and yard. She was a friend to many in Massillon she walked everywhere and made friends with everyone. She was grandma Jeffries to many neighbors and friends in Massillon. She is a member of First Assembly of God in Massillon. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant son David, three sisters and two brothers. Evelyn is survived by: two daughters, Delores Uliveto and Jacqueline (Terry) McPherson; a son, Dane (Louann) Jeffries all of Massillon; a step-daughter Linda (Bill) Smith of Ripley, WV., and a brother Conrad Mason of Massillon. There are 9 grandchildren, Timothy Uliveto, Alana (Paul) Gardner, Theresa (Chuck) Benning, Thomas (Rachel) Anderson, Charlie Anderson, Dane Jeffries, Kristin Jeffries, Rhonda (Steve) Roberts and Rachel Smith. There are eight great grandchildren: Jeannette, Nathan, Miranda, Molly, Jake, Rayna, Jasmine and Timothy. A Celebration of Evelyn’s Life and releasing of her Going Home will be 10:30 AM Thursday at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon; the Rev. Kenneth Weaver will officiate. Her final resting place will be Sunset Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 PM and one hour prior (Thursday) to the service at the funeral home.
