Evelyn L. Evie Schoenfeld

Evelyn L. “Evie” Schoenfeld, age 74 of Massillon, passed away Friday at her residence. She was born on March 15, 1934 in Barton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Alexander and Flossie Abraham. Evie lived in Massillon most of her life and was a 1952 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and F.O.E. #190 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, reading and watching the Cleveland Indians. She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Schoenfeld of 54 years, her children; Paul E. (Connie) Schoenfeld of Massillon, Rhonda Smith of Perry Twp., Jeffrey Schoenfeld of Canton and Julie Schoenfeld of Massillon; her grandchildren, Jessica, Kristin, Janette, Miranda, Nathan and Matthew; her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Arica, Aunna, Kaden and Kolton; her sisters, Maxine (Joel) Merritt of Massillon and Florence (Norman) Porr of Perry Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 10A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon with Fr. Raymond Paul Officiating. Calling hours will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Monday from 6-8P.M., with F.O.E. Auxiliary #190 service at 5:45 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9-9:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
