Evelyn J. Flounders

Evelyn J. Flounders, 80, of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2022 at Brewster Parke. She was born in Massillon on January 15, 1942 to the late Alec and Evelyn (Dale) John. She was a graduate of MassillonWashington High School. She married Charles E. Flounders Sr. on March 26, 1960, and they shared 62 years together.

Evelyn retired as a manager of the Attic Thrift Shop. She had a green thumb and enjoyed growing flowers and plants. Evelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.

Evelyn is survived by her loving Husband, Charles, her sons, Charles (Kelly) Flounders Jr., Mark (Jill)

Flounders, David (Tammy) Flounders, Don (Melissa) Flounders John (Jodi) Flounders and Tommy (Marlo) Flounders; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her 6 brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 11a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 6-8p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Memory Gardens.
