Evelyn I. Snyder

Evelyn I. Snyder age 95 of Canton, passed away Thursday at the Willow Brook Christian Village in Delaware, OH. She was born February 25, 1912 in Orville to the late Josiah & Dora (Straits) Deetz. She married Joseph S. Snyder June 25, 1935, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. A graduate of Canton Actual Business School, she was a homemaker, active in Canton Trirosis, Canton Garden Club and several bridge clubs. Evelyn was a member of Lowell Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1992, a grandson Gregory J. Snyder in 1976, and two brothers, Russell and Sterling. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Dennis & Linda Snyder, two grandsons, David (Natalie) and Michael all of Delaware, OH; and a niece, Jane (Jim) Byers of Alexandria, VA. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, her pastor Pearl Sentelik will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10 AM until the service at the funeral home.
