Evelyn E. Smith

Evelyn E. Smith, age 91 of Cornwall, PA formerly of Massillon, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012. She was born on June 13, 1920 in Akron, OH the daughter of the late Otto and Elsie (Lietke) Herman. Evelyn was a 1939 graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and embroidering. She loved spending time with her family. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter D. Smith in 2001, her brother Arthur O. Herman, Sr., her sister Dorothy R. Owens, and her son-in-law Christopher Borod. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Charlotte & Tim Matson of Geneva, OH, Cheryl Ann Borod of Mount Gretna, PA and Terry Lee Smith of Mount Vernon, OH; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Pastor Rhonda Gallagher will be officiating.
