Evelyn Jeanette (McAuley) Coulter Berger, age 82 of Massillon, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, May 18, 2005. She was born on February 20, 1923 in Woodsfield, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Edward Forrest & Nola (Barnes) McAuley. She retired from Diebold, Inc., where she was in engineering. She was a member of A.A.R.P. 3336, she was a Kentucky Colonel, the 726 MP Batallion, she was a member of the Noble County Historical Society and the Diebold Retiree’s Club. She was of Methodist faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James S. Coulter and her brother Wayne McAuley. She is survived by her second husband, John L. Berger, her son James W. (Becky) Coulter of Massillon, her grandchildren, Patrick Coulter of Akron, Bryan West of Wake Forest, NC, James S. Coulter of Richmond, KY and Kelly Belak of Massillon, greatgrandson Kyle Belak, sister in law Virginia McAuley of Cridersville, OH, her stepchildren. Judy (Tom) McCaulley of Massillon and John (Sherry) Berger of Withensville, OH and step grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan & Molly. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 Noon at Eastern Cemetery in Summerfield, Ohio with Rev. Lee Peters officiating.
