Evelyn A. Gilbert

Evelyn A. Gilbert, 92 of Navarre, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born in Navarre, Ohio on September 25, 1920 to the late William J. & Ula Mae (Oyster) Agnes. Evelyn was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Massillon State Hospital and was a member of Holy Family Parish in Navarre. She is survived by her two daughters, Lauretta Elliott of Navarre and Connie (Michael, Sr.) Compan of Dover, three grandchildren, John Elliott, Melissa Loy and Ryan Smith, eight great grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, two step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and two nieces, Penny McGill of Canton and Alice Morris of Brewster. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester "Chet" L. Gilbert, a sister, Dorothy Burkhart and a brother, James N. Agnes. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday March 22, 2013 from 1:00PM -2:00PM with a funeral service following at 2:00PM. Burial will be in Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre.
