Eva L Sidel

Eva L Sidel, age 92, of Massillon passed away on February 8, 2019. She was born on December 19, 1926 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Orville and Eva Borton. She was a graduate of Quaker City High School. Eva was a member of Massillon Baptist Temple and POW Wooster Chapter. She enjoyed square dancing and celebrating events with family and friends. Eva was preceded in death by her husband Charles Sidel, her parents, brothers Orland, Tillman, Herbert, Rudy, Johny, and Curtis Borton. She is survived by daughter Carol (Ray) Deibel; son Gene (Lin) Sidel; grandchildren Eric and Leann Deibel, Tim, Matthew (Tara), Elizabeth, and great-grandson Logan Sidel; sisters Ginny (Carl) Laase, Betty Kaser, Joann Miller, Linda (Eldon) Yoder; brother Billy (Linda) Borton; sister-in-laws Barbara, Justine, and Diana Borton and Peggy Hollinger; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be sent to POW in Wooster. Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, February 16, 2019, in the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, with Rev. Cecil Thayer officiating. Calling hours will be from 11-1 on Saturday prior to the service also in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
