Eugene William Howley, 81 of Canton, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Austin, MN on March 6, 1932 to the late William M. & Emily (Engel) Howley. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN in 1954 and served as a pilot in the United States Navy. He was employed by Westinghouse Corp. in Chicago, IL, was a Divisional Vice President of Diebold and owner of Signa StorTech. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Lennox) Howley, three daughters: Carol (Marshall) Leininger of Canton, Catherine (Jefferson) Reiter of Glen Ellyn, IL, Sarah (Paul) Alvarez of Tampa, FL, daughter-in-law, Roxanne Howley of Massillon, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two sisters: Marilyn Mangano of Tiffin and Kathleen Jacobson of Burnsville, MN. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Stephen C. Howley and a brother, Thomas Howley. Friends may call Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 9:00AM-11:00AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, where a Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM followed by private burial.
