Eugene Russell Robins

Eugene Russell Robins, 86, of Canton, passed away after a brief illiness, on January 26, 2018. He was born on September 23, 1931 in Canton, Ohio to the late John and Emma (Fry) Robins. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Eugene worked as a certified electrical technician all his life. He enjoyed playing pool with his son Brian, listening to classical music, meeting his friends for coffee, driving and loved all animals. Eugene was very family oriented. He also had a great sense of humor and was very good at performing magic tricks for his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his children Linda (Gary) Kavalousky, Greg (Pam) Robins, Jeff Robins and Brian Robins; grandchildren Vicki Smith, Jonathan Robins, Angela Robins, Michelle (Ralph) Glinsek, Matthew Robins and Jacob Esber; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother Bob Robins. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 12-1 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Edd Matako officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park where military rites will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
