Eugene L. Seifert

Eugene L. Seifert, 81 of Jackson Twp., passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Gene was born on February 8, 1934 in Massillon the son of the late Alvin S. and Florence (Clementz) Seifert. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School. Gene started D & A Plumbing & Heating in 1960 and added Crown Heating & Cooling in 1983. He was a member of Stark Association of PHCC and on the Board of Directors at First National Bank in Massillon. He was a member of U.M.C. Church of the Lakes. Gene enjoyed traveling, camping and golfing with friends. He most enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Howard and Dale Seifert and his sister Rita Barnhart. He is survived by his wife, Arlene (Bricker) Seifert whom he married on June 19, 1955; sons and their spouses, Eric D. (Pamela S.) Seifert and Scott A. (Peggy L.) Seifert; grandchildren, Ryan E. Seifert, Cortney A. (Tyler) Ardrey, Dow J. and Chase M. Seifert; sister, Mary Evelyn Slicker; and sister-in-laws, Margaret and Janet Seifert. A Celebration of Gene's life will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Lakes: 5944 Fulton Rd. N.W., Canton, OH 44718. Rev. Bryan George officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Monday from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
