Ethel M. Hoffner age 94 of Massillon died Wednesday July 6, 2016. Ethel was born November 1, 1921 in Massillon to the late John & Rosa (Eckroate) Rodenberger and was a 1939 graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. Ethel will be remembered for her smile, her pleasant personality and love for the Denver Broncos. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Jerry Hoffner (1970), sister Jenneth Styer and two brothers, Walter & Harold Rodenberger. Ethel is survived by her husband of 69 years Eugene Hoffner, a son Joseph (Nancy) Hoffner; grandchildren Lisa (Michael) Long, Christopher (Melissa) Hoffner; great grandchildren Max Hoffner and Cody Changet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Monday July 11th at St. Joseph Church, her pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday July 10, 2016 from 2-4 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at the Laurels and Crossroads Hospice.
