Ernest L. Wanner, 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on October 25, 2016 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born in Navarre on September 5, 1939 to the late Hugo and Mabel (Gerber) Wanner. Ernie retired from Massillon Cable Television after thirty five years of service. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather; he rarely missed special events of his children and grandchildren. Helping his children with projects was always a priority for him and brought him great joy. In his younger days Ernie enjoyed building and racing stock cars and still enjoyed NASCAR. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy (Burnell) Wanner, whom he married on September 17, 1961; their three children, Pam (Chuck) Kittridge of Massillon, Ernie R. Wanner of Massillon and Holly (John) Kasper of Canton; eleven grandchildren, Clay, Shellie and Annie Kittridge, Ryan (Sara), Jeff, Logan, Emma and Ella Wanner, Nikki (Armand) Deligny, Jordan and Jessie Kasper ; a great-granddaughter, Elsie Wanner; a brother, Paul (Betsy Tomblin) Wanner ; and two sisters, Joann (Bob) Null and Marlis Walsh. Friends and family may gather at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 1:00pm-3:00pm with a Celebration of Ernie's Life to be held at 3:00pm, Rev. Gary Smith, officiating.
