Ernest E. "Bud" Sellers, age 86 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. He was born on April 6, 1927 in Pennsboro, WV and was the son of the late Kenner and Dessie (Fluharty) Sellers. Bud was drafted in to the U.S. Army on July 21, 1945, he served in Germany during World War II and was honorably discharged on May 29, 1947. He served as the chief of police in Pennsboro, WV in the early 1950's, before moving to Canton in 1956. He went on to work at Republic Steel (LTV), retiring in 1986. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Florhena Sellers, Jessica Sellers and Helen Sellers, his stepdaughter, Shirley Powell and 10 siblings. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Ernest and Jean Sellers, Cheryl and Ron Knopp and William "Ken" and Janet Sellers. Also surviving are his stepchildren, Larry Powell, Ramona L. Krotky, Sharon and Charles Kuhnash, Roger and Julie Lint, Harold and Nancy Lint and Daniel and Nancy Lint, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, his sister, Madge McDougle and numerous step grandchildren and nieces and nephews, who called him "Uncle Bud". Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. David Kimberly officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday one hour before the service.
