Erma M. Loew

Erma Martha Loew died peacefully in Country Lawn Nursing Home on January 9th in Navarre, Ohio at the age of 97. Mrs. Loew is survived by her son Tim Loew (Carol Tinapple) of Atlanta, her daughter Suzanne Moore (Rick) of Canton, and her granddaughters Erin Loew of Massillon and Mercedes Buckle (Brian) of East Sparta. Erma is also survived by her great grandson Nicholas Loew of Massillon and brother-in- law Robert Mayfield of Massillon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael, her parents Fritz and Martha (Dominick) Werner, her sisters Joan Mayfield and Gertrude Beftoulides, and daughter-in- law Kathleen (Bailey) Loew. Erma was born on October 7, 1923 and emigrated to the United States with her family the following year from Allenstein, Germany, graduated from Massillon Washington High School, and married Michael in the 1940’s. She raised her family in Richville, Ohio and was forever a loving wife, mother, grand-mother and great grandmother. A private burial is will be held for on January 14th at Oakwood cemetery. Pastor Jeffrey Schultz will officiate the ceremony. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
