Emma Nicole Parsons

Emma Nicole Parsons passed away on March 24, 2022 after a short illness and a lifelong battle with cerebral palsy. She was 20 years old. Born on October 23, 2001 in Canton, Ohio, Emma was a beacon of light to all who knew her. She was known for her beautiful smiles, joyous squeals and constant requests for “rock music” and her favorite color “orange” on her speech generating device. Emma enjoyed spending time with her friends at Rebecca Stallman Southgate School, going to the movies, listening to music, and watching football with her dad. She lived in the moment, inspiring others through her joy of life. Emma is survived by her parents, Dustin and Michele Parsons; her grandparents, Wayne and Dottie Parsons, Greg and Jeanie Arnold; her aunts and uncles, Chris (Jean) Parsons and Jill (Frank) Kolasa; and her cousins, Alyssa Parsons and Evan and Casey Kolasa. A celebration of Emma’s life will be held on Thursday, March 31 at 11 a.m. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon, Ohio, with burial immediately following at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 30 from 6-8 p.m. Her parents ask that in lieu of flowers, donations in Emma’s memory are made to Akron Children’s Hospital.
