Emily L. Crenshaw, age 94 passed away October 31, 2014. She was born June 20, 1920 in Troy, AL to the late Oscar & Lula (Cowart) Stewart. Emily was a 1940 graduate of Washington High School. Mrs. Crenshaw was an active member and Deaconess at St. James AME Zion Church. She loved the Lord and ministered to everyone she came in contact with. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James, sons Eddie, Leonard & Lewis; brothers Oscar, Vernon, Carl, Clarence & Eugene Stewart; sisters Lula Lightfoot, Edna Hines & Georgia Prowell. Emily is survived by six children, Barbara Marsh, Sherry Jackson, Rhonda (Sylvester) Morgan, Richard (Shirley) Crenshaw, Henry (Pamela) Crenshaw & Stanley Crenshaw; 18 grandchildren and numerous great & great grandchildren. In addition there is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM Friday at St. James AME Zion Church in Massillon. The Homegoing Service will be 10 AM Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to either 20 Groose Ave. NW, Massillon, OH 44646 or www.paquelet.com.
