Emil A. Turskey, age 95 formerly of Massillon, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Brewster Parke Convalescent Center. He was born on September 2, 1912 in Massillon and was the son of the late Gustave and Anna (Graber) Turske. He was a lifelong area resident. In 1971, Emil retired from the former Republic Steel where he was a spark tester. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 221. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret G. (Reisterer) Turskey in 1991, brothers, Otto, William, George and John and his sisters Minnie Hollinger, Mary Wilson and Grace Ries. He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Sepanik of Canton, his son Dennis Turskey of Spring, TX, 3 grandchildren, Krystle, A.J. and Dennis Emil Turskey and one great grandchild, Bailey Jean Hutchison all of Texas. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 12:00 Noon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Oster officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmot, Ohio. Friends may call at the church on Saturday one hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
