Ellen Rose Merryman

Ellen Rose Merryman, 92, passed away on April 15, 2018, following an extended illness. She was born on November 2, 1925 to the late Ralph and Rosanna (Britton) Indorf. She attended the First United Methodist Church, Massillon. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1943. While in school she was active in the Swing Band and played the trombone. On July 4, 1944 she married her husband of 49 years, Jack E. Merryman, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1994. Ellen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Ellen is survived by her children Jack Jr., Robert and James; grandchildren Kimberly and Laurie; great-grandchild Bentley; and sisters Shirley and Susan. Also preceding her in death were her sisters Frances, Anna and Ruth. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 1pm-2pm with funeral services to follow at 2pm in the funeral home, burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
