Ellen M. Leitner

Ellen M. Leitner, 93, of Massillon, passed away on April 7, 2022. She was born on September 2, 1928 to James and Sophia (Kroupa) Haney at Pottsville, PA. Ellen worked as a Secretary to the Engineering Department at The Hoover Company. After becoming a mother, she dedicated her life to her children and to her household duties. Family duties being the most significant of jobs are lost in today’s times. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling the beach, reading, cooking and meeting new people. She was a lively conversationalist. Ellen is survived by her loving husband, Henry, daughter, Lynn Leitner, son, David Leitner, granddaughter, Ava Leitner and two nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sonya (Bob) Schumacher. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, 10am -11am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Massillon, with funeral services at 11am. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army, Massillon, Chapter.
