Ella M. Smith

Ella M. Smith, 90, of Massillon passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2014. She was born in Massillon on October 14, 1923 to the late Louis and Elizabeth (Hari) Weigand. She lived most of her life in the Massillon – Richville area and was a 1941 graduate of Washington High School. She retired from Karl Kuemmerling, Inc. Ella was a member of Reedurban Presbyterian Church, Massillon Chapter AARP #3336 and Hadassah Chapter Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughter, Krista (Dr. Joseph Medina) Gibson of Massillon, three sons, Kim Aaronson of Chicago, IL, Keith "Slade" Smith of Orlando, FL and Kevin Lee Smith of Canton; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister, Ruth Geiger. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Smith. Family and friends may call at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home Friday from 6:00PM-8:00PM and one hour prior to funeral services held Saturday at 10:00AM with Rev. Gary Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills.
