Ella M. Palmer

Ella M. Palmer, 81 of Navarre, died on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on April 17, 1930 in Canton, OH and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie (Karch) Shander. She was a member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church. Other memberships included the Triple O Club, the Salvation Army of Navarre, the Frosters Club, the Ladies Oaks, the Fairless Food Cupboard and Fairless Senior Citizens. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Palmer, her grandson, Adam Reidy and her sisters, JoAnn Shaffer, Marie Witts and Janice Shander. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Tom Reidy, her grandchildren, Matthew (Kera) Reidy and Tia Hite, her great grandchildren, Frederick, Andrew, Emma and Maya, step great grandchildren, Hailee and Arannah and her sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Dallas Uplinger. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church with her pastor, David West officiating. Burial will follow at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home and on Thursday one hour before the service at the church.
