Elizabeth Pfeiffer

Elizabeth Pfeiffer, age 84, of Jackson Twp., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May, 09, 2021. She was born on October 19, 1936 to the late John and Elizabeth Benchea. She married Dr. Herbert Pfeiffer on June 18, 1963 and they shared 54 years together until his passing in 2017. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, and playing word games. Her pride and joy was raising her family, taking care of her home and then watching her children raise families of their own. She was especially devoted to the care of Herbert in his later years, and despite her own physical limitations, she made it a priority to visit the nursing home daily to care for him. Elizabeth will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her children, Roxana Rish of Jackson Twp., Thomas (Theresa ) Pfeiffer of Westerville, Christina (Jeff) Ross of Waynesville, Monica (Tim) Rozmajzl of Jackson Twp., Eric (Lisa) Pfeiffer of Kalamazoo, MI, and Michael (Johanna) Pfeiffer of Columbus; seventeen grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley and Lauren Pfeiffer, Joseph and Samantha Ross, Emily, Anthony (Megan), David, Matthew, John, Luke, Lizzie and Leo Rozmajzl, Nathaniel and Nicholas Pfeiffer, Jacob and Olivia Pfeiffer; her sisters Diana Mascolo, Roxana Koenig, and Sanda Benchea as well as a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brothers, Traian Benchea and John Benchea. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with burial having taken place at North Lawn Cemetery.
