Eleanor Jones

Eleanor Jones, 95, passed away on March 27, 2014. She was born January 4, 1919 in Tunica, MS to the late Haywood and Pearl Carruth. She was the seventh of nine children. In 1937 she married L.C. Jones and in 1943 she joined the Friendship Baptist Church where she faithfully served on the usher board. She was employed by her dear friend Mrs. Debbie Dreyer. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband L.C. Jones and eight siblings. She leaves to mourn her passing, a daughter Janet (Curtis) Batiste, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren a special niece Juanita King & Family, a host of other nieces and nephews and two very special friends Julie Bray and Adrienne Jones. Friends and family may gather at the Friendship Baptist Church, Massillon on April 7, 2014 from 10:00AM-11:00AM where a funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Rev Reginald Hye, officiating.
