Eirdean " Deannie" Trachsel

Eirdean "Deannie" Trachsel, 94, of Massillon, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014, following an extended illness. She was born in East Rochester on June 8, 1920 to the late Walter and Altha Harsh. She graduated from Minerva High School Deannie had worked over thirty years for Briner's Drug Store, Morton's Gift Shop and All Occasions Florist. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Massillon and enjoyed helping with the church rummage sales and meeting people. She was a former officer and member of the Rubber Capital and the International Jim Beam Club, Buckeye Town and Country Fenton Finders and the FAGCA. She is survived by her children, Judy Dremann of Canton and Dennis (Connie) Trachsel of Malvern, a grandson, James Jenkins of Alliance, a brother, Charles (Loretta) Harsh of Massillon and a sister-in-law Jayne Harsh of Minerva; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great- nieces and great-great-nephews. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Trachsel in August of 1987, two brothers, Raymond and Mildred Harsh and Ervin LeRoy Harsh and a niece, Brenda Harsh. The Family wishes to thank the nurses and aides at Astoria Skilled Nursing Home for their care the last two years, also to Great Lakes Caring Hospice for their great care. No one could have done a better job in our sight these last few weeks. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 5:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. The Rev. Charles Cooper, officiating.
