Edwina Ann Walsh, 74, of Tuscarawas Township, went joyfully home to her Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Edwina was born on April 1, 1944 in Delaware, Ohio the daughter of the late Edwin and Hazel (Mayes) Kern. She was a beautiful homemaker, teacher at Tuslaw, Massillon, Northwest, and Fairless Schools, and an administrator at Walnut Woods Preschool. She managed concessions at Elms Country Club for many years. Edwina enjoyed anything to do with family, singing, music and drama. She was an active member at Sixteen St. John’s Church, and was loved by many. She also enjoyed swimming, sewing and was an avid reader. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Walsh, and her infant daughter, Rachel Lynn. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Laura (Greg) Frank, Scott (Jan) Walsh, Jonathan (Roxanne) Walsh, Christine (Troy) Foster, Deborah (Jerry) Mullins and Michael (Brad Goertz) Walsh; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Poulton, Karen Viers, and Eleanor (Ron) Rowe; brother, Edwin Kern; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Edwina’s life will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Sixteen St. John’s Church: 1588 Manchester Ave SW, North Lawrence, OH 44666. Burial will follow at Sixteen St. John’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home: 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon, OH and on Monday at the church from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sixteen St. John Church in Edwina’s memory.
