Edwin T. Hollinger, 74 of Bethlehem Township, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Ed was born on February 2, 1942 in Massillon the son of the late Arthur and Lucille (Kinsinger) Hollinger. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1960 graduate of Beach City High School. Ed worked for Fleming Foods as a truck driver, retiring in 2002. He was the volunteer Fire Chief for Beach City Fire Department and served the community for over 30 years. Ed enjoyed collecting Beach City memorabilia, IGA novelties, and milk bottles. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Nathan Hollinger in 2011 and his brother Philip Hollinger. He is survived by his wife, Sonja (Hostetler) Hollinger, whom he married on March 10, 1961; his children and their spouses, Matthew (Lisa) Hollinger, Marc Hollinger, and Janelle (Kevin) Gill; daughter-in-law, JoAnne Fehrman; grandchildren, Andrea, Kayla, Alexa, Trista and Brock Hollinger, Marissa (Sean) Connelly, Tessa, and Trey Hollinger, Branden, McKenna, and Gabraela Hollinger, and Stephen (Aliza) Gill; brother, Stephen (Ruth) Hollinger; and sister, Martha Camp. A Celebration of Ed's life will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Newman Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. before the service. The Last Alarm Service will be held Thursday evening at 7:45.
