Edward W. Lewis, age 82 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Edward was born on February 2, 1930 in Massillon the son of the late Edward and Vida (Gallatin) Lewis, Sr. Edward worked at Superior Meats as Plant Superintendent retiring after 35 years. He was a member of the Massillon Car Club, McDonald's Old Fart Club, F.O.E. #190, Moose #481 and VFW Post #3124. He had an appreciation of fine automobiles and was the proud owner of a 1981 DeLorean and 1950 Studebaker Commander. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Adda 'Sue' Lewis, his son Edward W. Lewis III, his sisters, Janet Geschwind and Margaret Culbertson, and his brother, David Lewis. He is survived by his son and daughter, Brenda (Drew) Prine and Dennis (friend – Carol Kerr) Lewis; his grandchildren, Arlinia (Sean) Kennedy, Joanie Prine, Meredith (Jamey) Hutton, and Edward (Anna) Lewis; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and special niece Linda (Paul) Camarata. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. His grandson, Rev. Edward Lewis IV will be officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
