Edward Thomas Darr

Edward Thomas Darr, 79, of Massillon, passed away on August 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on October 13, 1937 to Charles and Ruth (Neff) Darr. Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Sandy Guzzetta on October 13, 1972 and they shared 44 loving years together. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his furry companions. He also worked with the Waste and Street Department for the City of Massillon for over 25 years. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Sandy; children Shari Darr, Jeff Darr, Timothy (Ronna) Cecil, Karen (Sam) Spicocchi; brother Chuck (Becky) Darr and sister Shirley Farnsworth; grandchildren Lane Cecil and Marisa Henderhan. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Darr and brother-in-law George Farnsworth. A committal service with military honors will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel.
