Edward Rice

Edward Louis Rice, age 74, of Massillon passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Rose Lane Health Center. He was born September 26, 1935 in Massillon, OH. The son of the late William and Johnsie Louise (Jackson) Rice Sr., Edward served in the United States Air Force retiring after 22 years of service. He was also employed for and retired from Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility. He enjoyed photography, videography, fishing, and camping. Edward was a member of the Massillon American Legion. Edward is survived by his son William “Chief” Rice; brother William (Arbuna) Rice Jr.; sisters Betty J. King, Diane (James Nelson) Rice, Turrana Rice, and Angela (Carnell) Borden; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment with military honors will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
