Edward Peter Starcher, 66, of Perry Township, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Ed was born on March 14, 1947 in Elyria, Ohio the son of the late Edward and June (Bailey) Starcher. Edward was a United States Marine Corp. veteran and served our country during Vietnam. He graduated from Stark Technical College and then finished at Kent State University where he received his B.A. degree in Industrial Arts. He was a lifelong resident of the area and worked for the Timken Co. for 30 years as a carpenter. Ed was a member of the V.F. W. Post 2134, AMVETS Post 12 and a lifelong member of the N.R.A. He is survived by his loving wife Boni (Heinzer) Starcher whom he married on August 8, 1995; his step-children, Angel (D.J.) Motz, David (Jen) Cantwell, Trent (Michelle Maley) Cantwell and Chuck Cantwell; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Joyce (Wayne) Miller and Laura (Wayne) Chavellier; his mother-in-law, Donna Heinzer; his sister-in-laws, Beth (Joe) Curbo, Tina (Rick) Plott, Penny Lunsford, Candy (Larry) Werstler, Cindy Griffith, Susie (Bill) Long; his brother-in-laws, Joe (Judy) , Roy (Linda) and Jerry Heinzer; and his canine companion Chewy. According to Ed's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no calling hours or services. Donations may be made to Aultman Hospice in Edward's name.
