Edward Matson

Edward R. Matson, age 55 of Massillon, died on Friday, August 6, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. He was born on September 6, 1954 in Jackson, Michigan and was the son of William Leonard and the late Bettie E. (Drake) Matson. He was employed at Cardinal Health where he was a warehouse coordinator. Ed loved spending time at Big Bass Lake in Michigan, attending auctions with friends, driving his ’84 Corvette, woodworking and taking cruises. He also loved spending time with his cats, Jackson, Betsy and Katie. He is survived by his father William L. Matson of Jackson, MI; his loving companion of 16 years Jackie Cody of Massillon; his sisters, Christina (Carl) Matson-Gilzow of Jackson, MI and Wendy (Rick) Davis of Elletsville, IN. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no calling hours or memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name at any First Merit Bank.
