Edward J. Zupan

Edward J. Zupan, age 93 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010. He was born November 26, 1916 in Monessen, PA to the late John & Tresa (Wavra) Zupan and moved to Massillon in 1946. During WW II he served as a radioman in the Army Air Corp in the Pacific. Ed retired as a welder from Goodrich Tire in Akron. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, K of C #554 and Massillon Amateur Radio Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ljuba (Ferrich) Zupan and a sister, Helen Motz. He is survived by a sister, Dorothy DeMatteo of Manorville, NY; friend, Alice Haney of Massillon and a number of nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, his pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. Burial will be beside his wife in St. Joseph Cemetery.
