Edward J. Langenfeld

Edward J. Langenfeld, age 91 passed away November 21, 2014. He was born July 6, 1923 in Massillon to the late Edward & Anna (Zeismer) Langenfeld. He served in the Pacific with the Army during WWII. He was a life member of the Massillon Elks & VFW Post #123. He was the owner 'Eddie's Bait & Tackle Shop at Nimisila Reservoir. From his shop, for over 55 years, he supplied 20 counties with a variety of live bait. He affectionately carried the nickname 'fishbait'. He was preceded in death by his wife Winifred in 2009, daughter Merrie Beth and three brothers: Francis, Roland & Robert. He is survived by five children: Cynthia (Duane) Knox, Edward (Cathy) Langenfeld Jr., Francis (Laurie) Langenfeld, Sue Ann (Wayne) Westfall & Joseph (Stacey) Langenfeld. He has a sister Marguerite Young and a brother Dale Langenfeld. There are 13 grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren. Services will be 1:30 PM Monday at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon until the service on Monday.
