On Monday, March 27, 2017, Edward Franklin Rohr, also known as Eddie by most, of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord. After many victorious battles, he was ready to be at peace. Eddie was born on September 12, 1940 to the late Anthony and Irene (Siffrin) Rohr in Massillon, Ohio. Ed enjoyed living his life as a hard working outdoors man, who found nature and wild life as passions from a young age; a trait he passed down to his son Edward and to his grandchildren who were a great part of his life. Ed retired from Elum's Music after 37 years. He also enjoyed watching his son Anthony, in the Massillon Tigers Marching Band every Friday night. He passed down a legacy of working hard and taking pride in everything he and his loved ones did. Ed could always be found down at Brewster Lake where he enjoyed sitting, listening, and watching nature at its finest while sipping his crisp, Busch Beer and Dan's homemade wine in one hand and holding his cigarette in the other. He is survived by his wife Vickie (Smith); children, Edward Rohr and Anthony Rohr; grandchildren, Zachary Rohr and Austin Rohr; sisters, Barbera (Clyde) Jackson and Sue Rohr (Bob); brother, Joseph Rohr; many very special nieces and nephews; and his loving family dog, Molly, who will miss him greatly. Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Irene (Siffrin); sisters, Joanne (Druhard) and Mary Elizabeth, and brother, William Rohr. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 4-6 pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A memorial service will follow at 6pm with Fr. Brian Cline officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to, Brewster Angler's Club, PO Box 54, Brewster, Ohio 44613 or the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675-8517
