Edna Sandy Liebermann

Edna Sandy Liebermann, 102 passed away on January 29, 2022, following a brief illness. She was born in Massillon on October 9, 1919 to Henry and Ruth (Williams) Sandy. Edna was graduate of Washington High School and a lifelong area resident and Tiger Sports Fan. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School and helped in the Compassionate Kitchen. A regular volunteer for the Salvation Army, she also taught cake decorating at the YWCA and was the advisor of the Frosters Club. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Hanigan and grandson, Ryan (Janine) Hanigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donfred Liebermann; son Donald Liebermann; and her siblings, Evelyn Fetters, William Sandy, Dale Sandy and Henry Sandy, Jr. A private graveside service was held at Union Lawn Cemetery.
