Edna Grant

Edna Grant, age 94 of Massillon, passed away February 1, 2009. Edna was born in Massillon to Robert & Edith (Simms) Grant. She was a 1932 graduate of Washington High School and retired from the Massillon State Hospital. Edna was a member of the Massillon Senior Center and a member of the former Bethel AME Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Malvin, Clara Penn and Frances Grant; two brothers, Carl Grant and Henry Grant. Edna will be mourned by several nieces Georgene Young of Massillon and several additional nieces and nephews; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Her funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with Rev. Robert Dye officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home. Condolences can be sent to the family at 1147 Neptune Place, Annapolis, MD 21409.
