Edna B. Unger

Edna B. Unger, 101 of Massillon, died on Monday, December 20, 2010 at her home. She was born on August 5, 1909 in Beckett, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Lewellyn and Ethel (Burge) Beckett. She was a Massillon resident since 1980. Edna graduated from Waterford High School in 1928. She worked at Nickles Bakery for 32 years, retiring in 1974. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Richard Bursey and her granddaughter Peggy (Bursey) Davis. She is survived by her daughters, Darrelyn Bursey of Massillon and Gimmy Lou (Les) Parnacott of Newport News, VA, her grandchildren, Patricia (Gil) Soley, Pamela (Garrett) Cobb and Jacqueline (Chris) Staten, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with her son-in-law Les Parnacott officiating. Burial will follow at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M.
