Edith Marie Karris

Edith Marie Karris, age 87 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 18, 1919 in Dalton to the late Simon and Anna (Moser) Swartz. Edith was well known for her courageous attitude with uplifting spirit, strength and faith. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend, her greatest quality was her warmth and gentleness. Some of her hobbies included drawing and sewing. Edith also enjoyed reading scriptures from her Bible each day. She was a member of the West Massillon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her caring and faithful husband Walton Karris in 1997 and her brothers, Raymond and Edison Swartz. She will be sadly missed by her children, Lynn (Andrew) Mihos and David (Carrie) Karris both of Massillon, grandchildren, Andrea (Jeremy) Bryant, Jennifer Mihos, Elizabeth Karris, Matthew Karris, step-granddaughter, Becky (Wayne) Horn and brother and sister-in-law, Allen (Barbara) Karris of Miami, FL. Memorial services will be will be held Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 6:30 P.M. at the Massillon Hall of Jehovah's WItnesses, 2177 Nave Rd S.E., Massillon. Officiating is her good friend and minister, Rudy Rex. Condolences for the family will be 6:00 - 6:30 prior to the memorial service reflecting on her life at the Kingdom Hall.
