Edith L. Scott, 97, of Massillon, passed away on December 20, 2023. She was born on January 10, 1926, in Lewisville, Ohio to the late S. Leonard and Margery (Robinson) Zetty.
Edith worked in the food industry for most of her life. She owned the Village Dutchman in Dalton from 1979-1992. After retirement, Edith continued waitressing at Crossroads and did so until she was 88 years old.
When she wasn’t working, Edith enjoyed the simple things in life such as watching her beloved Cleveland Indians, playing euchre, and visiting her extended family in Adamsville.
She will be deeply missed her son, Rick (Carrie) Hampton; her grandsons, Andrew (Mickey) Hampton and Benjamin (Aron) Hampton; great-granddaughter Velma Hampton; and step-daughter April Scott; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her son, Robert Hampton, her former husbands, Charles W. Hampton, Richard Atkinson and Herbert Scott, and her siblings, Margaret Davison, Leonard “Pete” Zetty, and Magdalene Bookless.
There are no services planned at this time and cremation will take place according to her wishes.
