Edith K. Cecil

Edith K. Cecil, age 91, of Massillon, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 at the Hospitality House. She was born on February 23, 1918 in Sistersville, WV and was the daughter of the late C. O. & Arlie (Glenn) Kimble. Edith was a Massillon resident for most of her life. She retired in 1980 as a medical assistant with Dr. Fred Kavanaugh. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Canton. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Dale Cecil, her daughter Donna Bennett and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Jesse L. Cecil, whom she married on October 3, 1942, her grandchildren, Christine Stephanoff, Nancy Brunker, Larry Moyer, Jr. and Jason Moyer, 6 great grandchildren and her sister, Gertrude Judge. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Newcomer officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home and on Thursday at the church one hour before the service.
