Edith F. Edie Reinerts

Edith F. “Edie” Reinerts, age 89 of Massillon, died on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, Ohio. She was born on April 19, 1920 in Mt. Eaton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late E.B. and Lavina (Rodocker) McFarren. She graduated from Paint Township High School in Mt. Eaton, OH 1938. She worked as a clerk at the Ideal Store a cashier at A & P Grocery and retired from Clark’s Ceramics in Dalton. She was a member of East Greenville United Methodist Church and the Ladies of the Oaks. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband. W.A. “Bill” Reinerts whom she married on June 18, 1941. He died in 1989. She was also preceded by her sisters, Effie Shilling, Gail Nickles, Grace Woods, Esta Reed and Bertha Garver and her brothers, Atlee and Warren McFarren. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Lee) Wood of Burbank, Ohio, her son Jeff Reinerts of Massillon, her grandchildren, Terry (Jennifer) Wood and Brian (Shawna) Wood all of Burbank, Ohio and Ashlee (Rich) Patterson of Florida and her great grandsons, Heath Wood and Cyrus Gabriel Patterson. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 2nd at 11:00 A.M. at the East Greenville United Methodist Church with Revs. Harry and Mary Lou Merryman officiating. There are no calling hours.
